So this is the start of my travel blog for FRANCE. I was just too excited to wait to start it until I leave in January. For anyone who doesn't know, I'm going to France on January 8th to study abroad in Poitiers, a small medieval town in the province of Poitou-Charentes, which is on the western coast of France, only an hour and a half train ride to/from Paris (omg!). Here is a picture to give you an idea.

I really don't know much yet as for the detail of my trip, like where I'm living, the classes I'll be taking, etc. But after my orientation today I'm officially excited. I've started to get back into that old French mindset, the one that I've experienced before my other two previous trips to France. By the time I leave it will have been almost two and half years since I've been there, and while going to a completely different country with a completely different language is like jumping into a cold pool I don't think it will take me long to get "warmed up" again.
In case you're wondering what the phrase in my URL is, it comes from this song
The meaning of the phrase is almost impossible to translate. But it kinda means "it's going good for me". That's the best way I can put it.
So, until January I'll just have to say à bientôt!
